The Legend of Korra *

Review of the premiere episode of "The Legend of Korra" ("Welcome to Republic City"). The new Nickelodeon animation storms out of the gate with intelligent direction, effective editing, and a story that might be too sharp for its own good. Korra is the new avatar. Her journey toward self-discovery includes a bit of training in Republic City, whose contemporary ailments could prove too heavy of a challenge for the young heroine.
